How do I paper trade on TradingView?

Open a TradingView chart, click the Trading Panel tab at the bottom of the screen, and choose Paper Trading. A new Paper Trading tab appears, and you create orders by right-clicking the chart or working inside that tab. Every simulated order can be viewed, edited and tracked from the same tab. A free TradingView account is enough to do this.

Does TradingView paper trading connect to my ETF account?

No. Paper Trading is TradingView's own practice account, funded with simulated money and separate from your ETF account. Orders placed there do not reach ETF and do not count toward passing an evaluation. To trade an ETF account from TradingView charts, select Tradovate in the Trading Panel instead and sign in with the credentials shown on your Trader Dashboard. The TradingView add-on has to be selected at ETF checkout for that access to be enabled.

How to paper trade on TradingView

Step 1: Log into TradingView

Access TradingView: Open TradingView by visiting TradingView Chart.
Login or Create an Account: If you don’t have an account, sign up for a free account. A free TradingView account is sufficient for paper trading.

Step 2: Open the Trading Panel

Navigate to the Chart Screen: Once logged in, go to the chart screen.
Activate the Trading Panel: Scroll to the bottom of the screen and click on the Trading Panel tab.
Select Paper Trading: In the Trading Panel, choose Paper Trading to connect the paper trading account.

Step 3: Place Paper Trades

Access Paper Trading Tab: After connecting, a new Paper Trading tab appears.
Create Orders: Right-click on the chart or in the Paper Trading tab to create new orders.
Modify and Track Orders: You can view, edit, and track all paper trades within the Paper Trading tab for real-time simulation of trading performance.
