The currency futures symbols available on an ETF account are the CME root symbols 6A, 6B, 6C, 6E, 6J, 6M, 6N and 6S for full-size contracts, E7 and J7 for E-minis, and M6A, M6B, M6E, MCD and MJY for E-micros. All of them are enabled on Tradovate and TradingView.

Three naming rules explain most symbol mix-ups:

• The root names the foreign currency, not the pair. 6E is the euro, 6B the British pound, 6J the Japanese yen.
• An M prefix marks the E-micro version, so M6E is the micro of 6E. Not every currency has one. 6N (New Zealand dollar) and 6M (Mexican peso) trade full-size only.
• CME currency futures are quoted in US dollars per unit of the foreign currency, so 6J, 6S, 6C and 6M move opposite to the spot USD/JPY, USD/CHF, USD/CAD and USD/MXN quotes you may be used to reading.
• Your platform appends a contract month and year code to the root, so the December contract of 6E appears as 6EZ plus the year digit. Currency futures use the quarterly cycle: H for March, M for June, U for September, Z for December.

The EUR/USD futures symbol is 6E, the CME Euro FX contract. Two smaller versions of the same market trade under E7 and M6E.

• 6E (Euro FX) is the standard contract at 125,000 euros.
• E7 (E-mini Euro FX) is half that size at 62,500 euros.
• M6E (E-Micro EUR/USD) is one tenth of the standard contract at 12,500 euros.

All three are CME products and all three are enabled for ETF accounts on Tradovate and TradingView. Spot EUR/USD is not a tradable symbol here, so 6E, E7 or M6E is where the order goes. Tick sizes and contract details are on the futures contract specs page.

ETF accounts trade futures contracts only. Options are not permitted, including options on futures contracts, and spot forex markets are not supported on the ETF platform.

There is no FX options chain to select from. The choice you have is contract size:

• Full-size currency futures: 6A, 6B, 6C, 6E, 6J, 6M, 6N and 6S.
• E-mini currency futures: E7 (euro) and J7 (Japanese yen).
• E-micro currency futures: M6A, M6B, M6E, MCD and MJY.
