ELITE Tape | E-Mini Nasdaq Futures: A Green Day Breaks the Streak

A month of red sessions for ELITE accounts ended on the real market's own Nasdaq rally day, even as E-Mini Nasdaq futures posted the week's largest loss.

E-Mini Nasdaq Futures: A Green Day Breaks the Streak

Week of 08242026 - ELITE Accounts Weekly Recap

Thursday, the real market's strongest session of the week on the back of Nvidia's earnings rally, was also ELITE accounts' first profitable day in roughly a month. E-Mini Nasdaq futures and their micro sibling still dominated ELITE's book this week, and one instrument in that pair, E-Mini NASDAQ-100 (NQ), posted this week's largest single loss by a wide margin.

ETF is a futures prop firm for traders who want uncapped Live Elite payouts. Four of the five sessions still closed net negative for ELITE accounts this week, making it a sixth consecutive week of net-negative results in aggregate, even as Thursday's session snapped a run in which every session across the prior three weeks had closed red.

NQ's loss this week ran more than double that of Micro E-mini NASDAQ-100 (MNQ), a wider gap than the two instruments have shown in recent weeks of trading closer to even. Full detail on where the volume, profit, and loss went is below.

What ELITE Accounts Were Trading

Micro E-mini NASDAQ-100 (MNQ) led every instrument in trading volume among ELITE accounts by a wide margin, its usual spot at the top of the board, and has now held the #1 volume spot in every one of the 27 weeks this data has been tracked. E-Mini NASDAQ-100 (NQ) held second, followed by Micro E-mini S&P 500 (MES) and Micro Gold (MGC). E-Mini S&P 500 (ES) and Gold (GC) rounded out the index and metals activity, while Micro E-mini Dow (MYM), E-Mini Dow (YM), Micro E-mini Russell 2000 (M2K), and Micro Crude Oil (MCL) closed out the top 10 most traded instruments.

MNQ and NQ together made up the clear majority of all ELITE trading activity this week, the same pair behind both the week's largest loss and its lone green session. Elite Trader Funding's Drawdown Calculator models how a strategy's drawdown behaves across a run of sessions, useful context after a stretch this rough. For the full breakdown of instruments ELITE accounts can trade, see ETF's What Instruments Can I Trade guide, and for ticker symbols across contract families, the Forex and Futures Symbol Guide.

Where the Profits Went

Silver (SI) led every instrument in profit this week by a wide margin, more than five times the next-closest instrument, ahead of Micro Silver (SIL) in second and Micro Bitcoin (MBT) in third. Micro E-mini Russell 2000 (M2K), Crude Oil (CL), Ultra US Treasury Bond (UB), Live Cattle (LE), Natural Gas (NG), Swiss Franc (6S), and 100-Ounce Silver (SIC) rounded out the profit list.

Silver and Micro Silver landed on the same side of the ledger this week, both in profit together. Full-size Gold (GC) and Micro Gold (MGC), the metals complex's other pairing, split the opposite way this week, both finishing among the week's losses instead, covered below.

Where the Losses Went

E-Mini NASDAQ-100 (NQ) posted this week's single largest loss, more than double Micro E-mini NASDAQ-100 (MNQ) in second, a wider gap than the two instruments have shown in several recent weeks of trading closer to even. Micro Gold (MGC) took third, followed by Gold (GC) and E-Mini Dow (YM). Micro E-mini S&P 500 (MES), Micro E-mini Dow (MYM), E-Mini S&P 500 (ES), Micro Crude Oil (MCL), and Nikkei/USD (NKD) rounded out the top 10 loss instruments.

Full-size E-Mini Dow (YM) and its own micro contract, Micro E-mini Dow (MYM), landed in the loss column together this week, a reversal from last week when the pair finished together in profit instead. Last week's recap covered a much tighter MNQ/NQ margin than this week's, MNQ Futures: The Nasdaq Selloff ELITE Barely Felt. For the longer-running story behind NQ's presence in the loss column, see NQ Futures Prop Firm: Even a Record Day Landed Red.

Nvidia's Rally Landed on ELITE's Only Green Day

Every session this week closed net negative for ELITE accounts except one, and the exception landed on the real market's clearest single catalyst of the week.

Public market reporting shows a week largely driven by chip and AI-earnings news, in contrast with ELITE's own book, which stayed red every session but one regardless of the real market's direction. Monday, ELITE's heaviest loss and heaviest volume day, coincided with a real chip-stock selloff that pulled the Nasdaq Composite down amid new Iran-related sanctions headlines, even as the Dow closed higher. Tuesday, when the real market gained across all three major indexes as investors shrugged off new US-Canada trade tension, still closed as ELITE's third-heaviest loss. Wednesday, a quiet real-market session as investors awaited inflation data and Nvidia's earnings report after the close, was ELITE's lowest-volume day of the week and yet its second-heaviest loss. Thursday, when Nvidia's own earnings guidance drove the Nasdaq Composite to its best single-day gain of the week, was the same session ELITE accounts closed their only profitable day. Friday, after Fed Chair Kevin Warsh's Jackson Hole remarks on inflation pulled the real market lower to close out the week, was ELITE's lightest loss day. None of this is presented as a cause of ELITE accounts' results, only as verified market context for the same calendar days.

How Volume Moved Through the Week

Monday carried the week's heaviest trading volume among ELITE accounts, the same session that produced the week's heaviest loss. Wednesday saw the lightest activity of the week, even though it produced the week's second-heaviest loss. Thursday's volume ran second-lowest, the same session that delivered ELITE's only profitable result.

About ELITE Accounts at Elite Trader Funding

ELITE accounts are sim-funded. The trading activity in these recaps reflects position P/L in sim accounts, not Live Elite payouts. Traders reach an Elite Sim-Funded account either by passing an evaluation or by purchasing Direct to Funding (DTF), which skips the evaluation step, and those who do well may progress to Live Elite, where payouts use real capital and there is no cap.

Frequently Asked Questions

Wednesday carried the lightest trading volume among ELITE accounts all week, on a quiet real-market session ahead of Nvidia's earnings report, yet it produced ELITE's second-heaviest loss of the week. The aggregate data does not explain why a quiet volume day produced a heavy loss; it only shows that it did.
