ELITE Tape | NQ Futures Prop Firm: Even a Record Day Landed Red
NQ posted its heaviest loss in seven weeks the same session the S&P 500 hit a fresh record high, as ELITE accounts closed a second straight fully red week.

NQ Futures Prop Firm: Even a Record Day Landed Red

E-Mini NASDAQ-100 (NQ) reclaimed the week's single largest ELITE loss, more than four times the size of the next-closest instrument, Micro E-mini NASDAQ-100 (MNQ), in second place. NQ's total this week was its heaviest since the week of June 28, its largest single-week loss in seven weeks.
ETF is a futures prop firm for traders who want uncapped Live Elite payouts. Every one of the five sessions closed net negative for ELITE accounts this week, the second straight fully red week in a row.
NQ and MNQ have now traded the #1 loss spot back and forth for six weeks running: MNQ took it twice, NQ four times, including this week, at a wider margin than any of NQ's other turns in that stretch. Whether that reflects a genuine shift back toward the full-size contract or ordinary week-to-week variance in a rough patch for the whole Nasdaq complex, the aggregate data alone cannot say.
What ELITE Accounts Were Trading
Micro E-mini NASDAQ-100 (MNQ) led every instrument in trading volume among ELITE accounts by a wide margin, its usual spot at the top of the board, and has now held the #1 volume spot for 25 consecutive weeks. E-Mini NASDAQ-100 (NQ) held second, followed by E-Mini S&P 500 (ES) and Micro Gold (MGC). Micro E-mini S&P 500 (MES) and Gold (GC) rounded out the metals and index activity, while Micro Crude Oil (MCL), E-Mini Russell 2000 (RTY), E-Mini Dow (YM), and Micro E-mini Dow (MYM) closed out the top 10 most traded instruments.
Tuesday carried only moderate trading volume, middle of the week's range, yet produced the week's single largest loss by a wide margin, one of the clearest cases this series has tracked of a lighter-volume day still doing the most damage. Elite Trader Funding's Risk of Ruin Calculator models how a given win rate and reward ratio compound over a run of losing sessions, useful context for a week where every single session closed red regardless of how busy it was. For the full breakdown of instruments ELITE accounts can trade, see ETF's What Instruments Can I Trade guide, and for ticker symbols across contract families, the Forex and Futures Symbol Guide.

Where the Profits Went
E-Mini Russell 2000 (RTY) led every instrument in profit this week, ahead of E-Mini Dow (YM) in second and Micro Crude Oil (MCL) in third. Soybeans (ZS), CME Bitcoin (BTC), and Natural Gas (NG) rounded out the list. Only six instruments finished the week in the green at all, the narrowest profit column this series has tracked in recent weeks.
The Dow complex split down the middle this week: E-Mini Dow (YM), the full-size contract, finished in the profit column, while its own micro sibling, Micro E-mini Dow (MYM), landed among the top 10 losses instead. That is the reverse of the split this series covered in July, when the micro contract won and the full-size contract lost, a reminder that which side of a full/micro pair comes out ahead can flip from one month to the next.

Where the Losses Went
E-Mini NASDAQ-100 (NQ) posted this week's single largest loss, ahead of Micro E-mini NASDAQ-100 (MNQ) in second, the flip covered above. E-Mini S&P 500 (ES) took third, followed by Gold (GC) and Micro Gold (MGC). Silver (SI), Micro E-mini S&P 500 (MES), Micro Silver (SIL), Swiss Franc (6S), and Copper (HG) rounded out the top 10 loss instruments.
Last week's recap covered MNQ's own turn at the top of this list, MNQ Contract Size: The Bigger Bet Strikes Again. For the longer-running story behind NQ's own presence in the loss column, see NQ Futures Analysis: Sixteen Weeks in the Loss Column.

A Week of Records, Still Fully Red
Every session of the week closed net negative for ELITE accounts, though the size of each day's loss swung hard from one day to the next. Tuesday carried by far the heaviest damage. Monday closed out the lightest loss of the week.
- Mon 8/10: Relative volume 2nd lowest of the week - Net Loss (Lightest)
- Tue 8/11: Relative volume moderate - Net Loss (Heaviest)
- Wed 8/12: Relative volume lowest of the week - Net Loss (Middle)
- Thu 8/13: Relative volume highest of the week - Net Loss (2nd Lightest)
- Fri 8/14: Relative volume 2nd highest of the week - Net Loss (2nd Heaviest)
Public market reporting shows a real market that stayed resilient this week, in contrast to ELITE's own book. Tuesday, ELITE accounts' heaviest loss day by a wide margin, coincided with a genuine down day across the real market: the S&P 500, Nasdaq, and Dow all closed lower. Wednesday, a cooler-than-expected July inflation report brought the annual core reading down from June's pace, and stocks rallied on the news; ELITE accounts' own session that day landed in the middle of the week's loss range. Thursday, the real market's best day of the week, the S&P 500 closed at a fresh record high for the first time above 7,800, on the same session ELITE accounts traded the week's heaviest volume, yet still posted their second-lightest loss of the week. Friday, the S&P slipped back from that record alongside weaker retail sales and softer consumer sentiment, even as the index still closed out a third consecutive winning week overall; ELITE accounts' Friday loss was the week's second heaviest. None of this is presented as a cause of ELITE accounts' results, only as verified market context for the same calendar days.
How Volume Moved Through the Week
Thursday carried the week's heaviest trading volume among ELITE accounts, edging out Friday for the busiest session, the same day the real market notched its own record high. Wednesday saw the lightest activity of the week. Tuesday's volume was only moderate, yet it produced the single largest loss, the week's clearest case of a lighter-volume day still doing the most damage.

About ELITE Accounts at Elite Trader Funding
ELITE accounts are sim-funded. The trading activity in these recaps reflects position P/L in sim accounts, not Live Elite payouts. Traders reach an Elite Sim-Funded account either by passing an evaluation or by purchasing Direct to Funding (DTF), which skips the evaluation step, and those who do well may progress to Live Elite, where payouts use real capital and there is no cap.
